The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially issued deployment letters for prospective corps members (PCMs) in the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II.
In a public statement shared on its official X account on Monday, the NYSC advised PCMs to prioritize safety by avoiding night travel while heading to their designated orientation camps.
The NYSC also outlined specific instructions for PCMs to ensure a smooth registration process. It directed all PCMs to print and sign an addendum document, which they must submit during registration at their respective orientation camps.
For logistical reasons, the NYSC announced changes to the orientation venues for some PCMs. Those deployed to Lagos State will complete their orientation courses in camps located in Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun States. Similarly, PCMs assigned to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will attend their orientation programs in Nasarawa and Kaduna States.
The statement emphasized, “The deployment for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II has been released. PCMs are strongly advised against traveling at night to their Orientation Camps.”
Additionally, the statement urged PCMs to comply with all instructions, including the printing and signing of the required addendum, to ensure a seamless registration process.
The reassignment of some PCMs to neighboring states aims to address logistical challenges and provide better accommodation facilities. NYSC has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and organized orientation exercise for all participants in this batch.
