President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a comprehensive reform of the N-Power scheme aimed at boosting its effectiveness and impact across the nation.

The announcement was made by Nentawe Yilwatda, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. According to Yilwatda, the reform seeks to connect young Nigerians directly with the job market and the private sector, ensuring that the skills they acquire through the program lead to sustainable employment opportunities.
In a social media post on Saturday, Dada Olusegun, the Social Media Assistant to President Tinubu, confirmed that more than 100,000 items have already been procured as part of the efforts to empower the youth across the country.
The post read: “The reform is designed not just to provide training, but to create direct links between young people and the market, enabling their skills to be channeled into real job opportunities.”
In addition to the reforms, President Tinubu has approved a budget of N32.7 billion for the continued implementation of the National Social Investment Program in 2025. The initiative will include providing low-interest loans ranging from N300,000 to N400,000 through cooperative clusters to empower vulnerable Nigerians, especially women and youth, in starting or growing their own businesses.
This initiative is a critical part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve livelihoods and address poverty by facilitating economic opportunities for the most vulnerable.
Looking ahead to 2025, the administration is promising significant rewards for Nigerians who have navigated through the challenges posed by ongoing economic reforms, as part of President Tinubu’s #RenewedHope Agenda.
